I am a visual designer and author from the Czech Republic working mostly with illustration, lettering, sign painting but also with other mixed media when I need to. I like to tell stories and stay creative, my curiosity for the world around me keeps me on my feet; whether it’s studying abroad, traveling, watching how things are done, or just shadowing how people create. I’m always seeking new adventure and inspiration.

After finishing my bachelor’s in multimedia and learning to be a very practical designer I pursued a master’s degree in fine art & design in the Netherlands to broaden my practice and find my own voice as a designer.

During my masters, I became inspired by the beautiful craft of sign painting and have since adopted the craftsmanship attitude in my creative process and gone on to build my practice around hand-painted murals, hand-lettered signs, and print-based products. The research was an eye-opener for me, it introduced me to a culture and an old craft that I have been unconsciously longing for (I’m such a sucker for old cars, signs and oldies songs). I love the craft for its pure essence; you create something with love, using your bare hands, you put a bit of yourself into it and then you end up with something unique and authentic. It carries personality and spreads joy because it was made with pure care and coming from the essence of simply doing something you enjoy.

Happiness and balance are underlying themes throughout my practice as an artist and storyteller. Lead by my inner child’s curiosity I create work that positively embraces life’s hassles.

My work is expressed in a style that creates a positive, motivational, and dreamlike experience and carries a sense of handiwork. In my art practice, I explore the topic of self-development and self-worth and aim to start a conversation with our true selves and empower the beauty that comes from the honest expression of emotions in our hearts while offering a sense of companionship.

I get excited when I see dogs, inspired by good colour swatches or listening to a song that has the power to just hit you right in the spot (you know what I mean?).

In 2013, my friends and I launched a stationery shop/design studio called printintin – We focused on producing all sorts of printed goods with hand-lettered and illustrated designs to make your day brighter even on the greyest Monday morning. I left in 2024 to put my energy into sign painting projects but we still collaborate on projects.

In 2024 I established a sign painting studio/platform called Písmomalířky that focuses on sign painting both as a business and as a platform.
